Soar hosted its first walk/run today. James Houdak planned this event and it was wonderful to see 25 participants. Everyone had a good time and the top 5 people in each event selected prizes.

Thankyou to all the walkers and runners for your support. We followed the run with food and prizes. Following the event we had a very informal meeting to discuss where to apply the money raised. We decided to continue to work with Farm tek to supply the Burgeii Environmental group with a small scale drip irrigation system and to send money for doors for the Children’s Charity Center . With the wonderful donations of 1150.00. we received we will be able to meet these two goals.  Thank you  to James Houdak for planning this event. Thanks also to JoAnne Franzene,Amanda Ripp, Lucy Stamm, Lisa Nikula, Barbara Houdak and Nathan Hoffman for helping with all aspects of running this race.  It is very appreciated.  Next time someone is even going to remember to take pictures!!!
