Wycliffe O. Born January 25, 1991. Grade 9. His father died in 2002 of pneumonia and his mother died in 2003 of dysentry. He has four siblings. He would like to be an engineer and help his family. |

Paul T. Born September 4, 1993. Grade 9. Both parents are dead; his mother died in 1999 of TB. Paul has a brother and a sister. He wishes to become a engineer and wants to help needy people. |

Maurice O. Born December 2, 1989. Grade 10. He is an orphan. His mother died in the year 2000 of malaria, he has no idea about the cause of the father’s death since the father died when he was very young. Maurice has one brother. He would like to be a lawyer which will enable him uplift the living standard of his family and needy students. |

John W. Born July 11, 1988. Grade 11. His father died in 1997, his mother died in 1998. He has eight siblings. He hopes to go to college to study to become an engineer so that he can help his impoverished family. |

Bernard Angotse Born in1989. 10th grade. Bernard has seven siblings. They all depend on their first born brother who is a ‘boda boda ” carrier – a bicycle that is used for ferrying people from one station to another at a small fee. The money he makes is barely enough to feed them and take them to school. Benard is the only one in school. Bernard would like to be a manager in any of the leading companies which would enable him uplift the standards of his family. |

Charles Yegon Born February 15, 1990. 10th grade. Charles and his five siblings live with their grandmother who is too old to work, on a half an acre land, in a two-roomed semi-permanent house. Four of his elder siblings are casual laborers and provide for the family. None of them went to school. He likes reading novels and magazines. Charles would like to be a lawyer, earn money and build a children’s home. |

Clarah Sigei Born 1991. 11th grade. Clara has only one parent – a mother, the father died in 1997. They live on a one-acre land, which they depend on for a living. The mother sell milk from the one cow she owns and the little produce she gets from her farm. She barely makes enough to support her four children. Clara would like to be a pilot if offered quality education and also become a self-reliant person in future. |

Daniel Hunja Born October 20, 1989. 9th grade. Daniel has only one parent, the mother who is a divorcee is a casual laborer. They have never seen the father since the divorce in 1994. Daniel has six siblings. Two are married while the rest are still in primary school, which is free in Kenya.He likes playing football and singing. Daniel would like to be a doctor, earn money and help his family. |

Evalyne Mecho Born 1990. 11th grade. She was born of a single mother who passed on in 1999. Her uncle took her and her 4 siblings in after her mother died. He is a casual laborer and has to also take care of his family. Two of his children are in school. Evalynes brother is also in school. Evalyne would like to be a teacher. This will enable her uplift the living standards of her family. |

Jackson Onyango. Born October 28,1990. 9th grade. Jackson lives with his grandmother who is 80 years old and takes care his 6 siblings. For food and other necessities they depend on their aunt who brews local brew (“chang’aa”). This practice is illegal but she has to do it to fend for this family. Jackson would like to be an engineer, earn money and help his family |

Leonard Munyekenye Born December 30, 1989. 10th grade. He comes from a single parent family. His mother is not working. Leonard has ten siblings. His mother is a casual laborer and barely makes enough to support her 10 children. None of these children work. Leonard would like to be a doctor or an engineer. His aim is to ensure his family live a better life. |

Soar- Kenya has a sponsor for the young man that lost his whole family and village during the uprising. Maybe we should post the children we have gotten sponsors for? Remember whether its a one time gift to help toward all the children or the responsibility of a monthly support we appreciate the help.Mary
